Scottish Womens Football is delighted to announce a new partnership with Henson Projects who specialise in interior fit-out projects, and are based in Dundee. For season 2011 Henson Projects will be the Scottish Cup sponsor at both Senior and Youth level.

The Henson Projects Scottish Cup is contested by over 53 senior clubs and 146 youth clubs throughout the length and breadth of Scotland. SWF were the first organisation to adopt a March to November season, and will play the Henson Projects Scottish Cup finals, indoor, at the Toryglen Regional Football Centre on the 12th and 13th November 2011.

Jim Patterson of Henson Projects said:-

"Following the great publicity and huge numbers of spectators who attended the womens World Cup in Germany this year, we at Henson Projects could see the benefit of supporting the womens game in Scotland. We feel it is a great opportunity to be involved with such a vibrant and forward looking organisation as SWF, as their ambition and drive matches that of Hensons".

He added "I have inside knowledge of the girls and womens game as my daughter plays for DUSC and I am involved in coaching and administration for the club and the East Region, I feel it gives me a greater insight into the need for investment into the womens game.

We look forward to this partnership and to the Cup finals themselves in Toryglen later this year."

Maureen McGonigle, SWF Executive Administrator said, "It great to have Henson Projects as our Scottish Cup partner. Their investment in the women and girls game confirms the commercial growth of the sport, not only in Scotland but throughout the World " she added "having a partner who understands the issues facing girls and womens football, I believe will prove of major benefit to us"

Jim Patterson from Henson Projects and Cat Harvey from Real Radio then carried out the draw for the third round of the Henson Projects Scottish Cup assisted by players from Glasgow City and Dundee United Sports Club.
